The second edition of Rosemary's classic manual of practical permaculture is a proper permaculture course in book form.

It is packed with in depth information, requires you to do some deep thinking, and every chapter concludes with a list of exercises.

Do the exercise and you really will be doing a full permaculture course. You don't get the certificate, but you end up with a complete permaculture design for your own piece of land.

This is a book for people who are serious about learning permaculture, and are ready to start doing it.

The Permaculture Home Garden

A fantastic book for anybody who lives in a subtropical or temperate climate, and wants to grow healthy food the smart way.

Even though it is a permaculture book, and Linda uses permaculture methods, the book does not talk much about the ethics, principles and theories of permaculture. It just talks about gardening with fruit, herbs and vegetables, and does so in a very entertaining and down-to-earth way.

Very readable, very practical, fun and useful. It also has a good A-Z section with growing advice for individual herbs and vegetables.
